Aspen Restaurant & Bar in Macomb

I won't be going back or recommending any others to go either. The last two times we were there, we were served cold leftover perch and the publicly insulted by your staff and manager when done of our guests asked to take his food home. He thought he could because other restaurants let him do it. But it was very rude for the waitress to take our food away, bring it back, and then send the manager out to take it away again. I have worked in the business 45 years and have never seen anything as insulting as that display. Inexcusable. This place used to be very good. It seems you have gone downhill in the last couple of years.

Food and service great. All steps for covid were in place. Waitstaff all wore masks, menus were disposable and social distancing in place. Thank you.

The whole family gathered for parents' anniversary celebration. There were 30 of us and the Aspen accommodated us comfortably. The bill was divided easily and our server was attentive and helpful. From appetizers to dessert, we had an enjoyable time. Their beer selection is great with lots of local choices.

We just had our granddaughter, Halie’s graduation party at this wonderful establishment!! Jackie was amazing, the food was amazing and the chef! Thank you Anne for keeping ours guests happy and full!!!Such a wonderful experience!! If an occasion arises again we will be definitely be having a celebration there!!! Thank you so much to Aspens team for the wonderful service! Forever Greatfull!!!

I got my first over-the-table job here at 16, got my grandparents to come visit, and it has become a staple for our dinners together ever since. 15 years later, the food is still fantastic and Donna runs a great operation. Perfect for families, holiday buffets, and the bar is welcoming for people looking to get away from the crowds of partying kids. I'll continue coming back, again and again.

Birthday dinner went well! We all ordered a different seafood item. Our server was excellent!

Omg my first time being here. My sister in law took me here for my birthday lunch. It was awesome!!!!! Such an awesome atmosphere and our waitress was just perfect!!!! You have to try their food!!!!! AWESOME PLACE!!!!!

Great cozy restaurant. The atmosphere is amazing and is kept very well in their theme. I went here as a kid for the toys on my birthday every year. I got the coconut chicken and it was not like any chicken I've ever tasted! It was so good I want to come back very soon

Went to Aspen for our 3rd straight family Christmas dinner and, again, they nailed it! The service was great and the food was even better! Only downside is that there are very few menu options for someone with a dairy allergy, but they we more than willing to accommodate!

If you are planning an event, I highly recommend Aspen!First & foremost - Jackie is a 'jewel' of an employee & she is so sweet.She's very knowledgeable & helpful with the planning. This is her expertise!And, kudos to Anna & the kitchen staff.The room was laid out perfectly & the tables dressed nicely in white linen.Jackie & Anna made it look so easy waiting on 55 people. They glided effortless around the room. Unbelievable service!! Orders were quickly filled. They were extremely accommodating. Any of our requests were responded to promptly & met with their cheerful dispositions.The food was delicious, cooked to perfection.!! This is the place to throw a party !!

I really love this place. Bar side is seat yourself, great place for watching the game, eating great apps, and drinks during happy hour. Restaurant side is cozy with great menu and always good service. Salads are amazing, pasta servings, perch phenomenal. Have not had a bad experience ever.

This place is awesome and so are all of the employees, except for Patty. Only server I’ve ever encountered that messed up my order MULTIPLE TIMES and tells me “nope, that’s what you ordered.” This used to be my go to for lunch during the work week, but no longer seeing that it’s always only Patty I get who does not belong in the food service industry.

Best happy hour around. Excellent beer selection. Great food specials. Was eating here like 4 times a week. Christine the bartender is awesome. She always keeps my beer full and is super friendly.

I love this place. On my top 5 of Macomb County restaurants. This is a $13 appetizer! Top that.

Had a good time eating some apps and drinking with work friends before the Xmas break. The first drink order took a little extra time, but there was 6 of us and we had a few special orders. After that, our waitress was attentive and was invested in us enjoying ourselves. Thank you for the good time and good spirits on December 6th, 2019.

We took a group of seniors out for lunch. Great food, great prices, and the wait staff were very accommodating. Will be back there again.

My daughter and her boyfriends baby shower was here and the room was decorated beautifully. Family was able to get in the night before and set-up. I had the cake delivered and Linda - from Aspen was part of the staff who made sure things were running smoothly and really made the event enjoyable. I would highly recommend The Aspen. The staff made the event more enjoyable because they ran it well. Thanks to Linda! She was very helpful!

Aspen is a wonderful family restaurant and date night restaurant. They also do banquets which are always beautiful and have amazing servers making sure that each and every customer is tended to. When going just for lunch or dinner the servers are always very personable and kind! Kelsea, Niki, Aneta and George are my favorites to go to, but all of the servers are wonderful! Not to mention their brunch food is amazing. Spend your money here and give your servers huge tips cause they deserve it, seriously. ALSO: their craft beer selection is top notch.

I've been to the restaurant several times... Great ambience great prices

Always loved the French Onion soup here but everything else is great that I've tried. The bar feels comfortable but the dining area feels kinda elegant. The service has always been nice here and never had an issue with the food being bad. There is even a cute little swing by the entrance that is perfect for relaxing if you're waiting on a table.

The inside is very cozy and the service was fantastic. Our waitress Brenda was so friendly. We had a group of 10 people and everyone was satisfied with everything. We ordered salads, burgers, fish, sampler platter, crab cakes.... etc and topped it off with a yummy hot fudge Sunday!!!!! We will for sure go back again. They sure do treat you like family!

On Thursday their special is NewYork Strip steak . You get vegetable, roasted potatoes and bread basket for 10.99. Well worth the money. Other days of the week they have other specials also.

All you can eat ribs were very fatty and bbq sauce on them was not good. I will not be going back to this restaurant

Nice little spot located on Hall road been around for a long time and they have some great specials every week including all you can eat ribs for 9.99. the all-you-can-eat perch is also a must-try. The staff was very friendly and very aware of what was going on at the table and didn't skip a beat. I wish most places had service like this establishment. if you're in the area and looking for a good affordable meal and the cozy environment definitely try Aspen.

We are frequent guests at Aspen.We have never had a bad meal,and miss dining in,so much~we can't wait until we can come back! Are you still doing curb side pick up?

Food is delicious and reasonably priced. Service fantastic. Going back for the best coconut shrimp in a few days!

We came here for an old mans birthday party. Food was banquet style and very good. The roadt beef was perfect, rolls were fantastic and salad was very good. Nice atmosphere, the staff was friendly and the cottage feel is very nice. Would recommend giving it a try if you havent been here. 10/10 would attend another 90yo birthday party here again.

What can I say for a 1st timer like myself! It was an awesome birthday dinner! I never let the waitress know it was my birthday, but she treated me with so much kindness I felt at home! I believe my server's name was Jamie. She was so awesome!Now for the food, I came on Tuesday and got the endless ribs. Fall off the bone GOOD! You get a side as well and you have to order a soda. I also got chicken Alfredo to go and it was AMAZING! 5 out of 5 service5 out of 5 food5 out of 5 atmosphereDefinitely RECOMMEND! Gonna bring my family next time!

The food was great. Is a perfect place for a private party. The waitress was pouring the last bit of wine into out new glass when she brought it. Happened to 3 of us that we knew of. Really turned us off.

Very convenient location, easy to get to. The establishment is in need of some modernization / updating. We ordered the sampler plate appetizer, which should come with a warning about how large it is. It is enough for a meal and a half. The quesadilla in the sampler platter was slightly undercooked. The ribs, the spinach dip and the potato skins we're all very good. It was just too much food for an appetizer. Ordered the Traverse City Chicken for dinner, was extremely good. I would recommend that as a meal. our waitress Margaret was very friendly, very outgoing, and very fast. Although we did not order a dessert, the dessert menu looks very very good. I have also done business lunches here in the past and those were good too. I did find the chairs to be slightly uncomfortable.

We have been there many times, always great food and service. And yesterday we just celebrated our wedding with family in one of the private rooms. The banquet menu was fantastic, the staff amazing and so attentive. I would highly recommend.

Just had my wedding shower here this past weekend and they did a wonderful job. We weren't sure with the whole covid thing if we could have it but throughout the whole thing, Scott kept in touch with me. The food was great, like always. We decorated the room to our theme and had the punch bowl as well. So happy with my decision to have it here. Thank you for a wonderful shower!

Great food and we’ve always had good service. The longest we’ve ever had to wait for a table has been maybe 20 minutes. Very interesting decor and overall a well kept place.

We held my daughters Bridal Shower at The Aspen on Saturday March 14,2020. In the midst of this whole CV issue. The Aspen and the staff were AMAZING! They took such great care w our party and it was without any issue! The food was amazing and what was supposed to be cold was cold and what was to be hot was hot! THE STAFF WAS SO GREAT. So friendly and bringing individual waters and drinks before asked! THANK YOU SO MUCH ASPEN! The day was perfect!

Been to Aspen several times and I have never been Disappointed. The Salmon was fantastic, the other person I was with has Steak, was. Thursday special. Had a desert Fruit crisp, the strudel was warm topped wit ice cream yummy. Our waitress was polite and knowledgeable of the menu. It's a little pricey but great place to go for a special occasion, or night out.

Great family restaurant with a log cabin-like feel. All of their food is delicious, and their Sunday brunch and mimosas are fabulous!

3 1/2 stars when it could be 4 1/2 stars. First, the food is good tasting. Second, they have some good daily specials. 3rd, all the staff has been friendly for my experience. Now, for what caused me to knock down a point. About 920pm my family and I were interested in going there for late dinner. I called and asked when dinner menu choices are closed and I was told "dinner selections are available until 10pm". We arrived at 930pm and scanned over menu and was ready to order 935pm. Waitress came back and said Owner closed the kitchen early and only thing made in frier was available/owners decision. A very limited choice at that. Not good to shut kitchen down prematurely especially after I called ahead. Rubbed us all the wrong way. Truely disappointed us as we wanted to order from menu selection. Still steaming 2 weeks later but will be going back for the 3 positives I mentioned.

We like a lot going out. Last night we went to this superb place which friends recommended to us. We passed a lovely experience there with high-qulity dishes and a well-trained stuff and a talented chief cook. We added this fine restaurant in our list and we will definitely visit again soon. Highly recommended.

Such a cute atmosphere, you truly feel like you are in Colorado! Food and drinks was great. Definately recommend!
